Rental requirements

Minimum age required :

In most countries, you must be aged 21 or over to rent a car. A Young Driver Surcharge may be applicable in some instances.

Local driving licence:

You will need to present to our customer representative your normal driving licence, issued by your country of residence and held for a minimum period according to local legislation or conditions. It will be requested at every rental.

International driving licence:

International Driving Permits

Your driving licence will be honoured in most countries, however there are countries where non-local Driving Licences (in different languages or particularly in languages using different alphabet structures) are not accepted.
An IDP is written in 10 languages and serves as an officially recognised local translation of your driving licence in over 150 participating members of the United Nations.
Your IDP should always be accompanied by your local valid driving licence.
The UN itself does not issue driving permits, but uses authorised travel

Identification documents required:

An identification document, such as a passport or ID card may also be required. The driver license is not sufficient.

Means of Payment:

You will also need to present a valid credit card on which an authorisation is requested. Be aware that the renter IS the cardholder and he must be physically present in order to sign the rental agreement payment.

Payment Methods & Deposits

Accepted Means of Payment

Deposit Rules

This amount is not debited. It is held on cardholder's bank account until the final rental charge amount is debited.
However there can be exceptions in some countries. Please see your General Rental Terms for more detail.

The renter / cardholder will benefit from transparency of fees (only 2.75% currency conversion fee per transaction).
